The Geneva to Nice Mont Ventoux Route is a demanding cycling challenge that begins on the shores of Lake Geneva and takes you through the French Alps and the Provence to the sun-drenched beaches of the Mediterranean Sea.
Unlike the traditional Route des Grandes Alpes, this route provides you with the opportunity to ride one of the most famous mountains in the history of the Tour de France, the “Giant of the Provence“ Mont Ventoux.

The Geneva to Nice Mont Ventoux Route will run from Saturday to Saturday and consist of 8 nights accommodation and 7 days of riding.
This amazing trip will showcase some of the most famous mountain passes in the French Alps and the Provence such as, Col de la Colombiere (1613m), Col de la Madeleine (1993m), Col du Galibier ( 2642m), Col d’Izoard (2360m) and Mont Ventoux (1912m) to name a few.
Altogether you will ride over 17 major cols equalling just over 19000m of climbing.
Fully Supported Rides
The Geneva to Nice Mont Ventoux Route is a fully supported whilst out on the road you will be accompanied by knowledgeable guides providing advice, encouragement, and help with any minor mechanical problems. They are also there to ensure each day is full of fun and most of all safe.
A support vehicle will carry energy bars, freshwater, and energy drinks to help keep rider’s performance levels to their maximum. This vehicle will also carry a range of spare parts and tools to assist with any mechanical problems.

DAY 2 – Geneva to Megeve – Col de la Colombiere (1613m), Col des Aravis (1487m)
DAY 3 – Megeve to Meribel – Col des Saisies (1657m), Cormet de Roselend (1967m)
DAY 4 – Meribel – Valloire – Col de la Madeleine (1993m), Lacets de Montvernier (790m), Col de la Telegraphe (1566m)

The Geneva to Nice Mont Ventoux Route will involve some long days in the saddle so you need to have a good level of fitness, stamina, and bike handling skills to accomplish this iconic journey.
Being in good physical condition will result in a more enjoyable holiday, for this reason we recommend partaking in a achievable fitness program prior to your cycling holiday.
Obviously, the best way to prepare is to get out on your bike and include some long rides in hilly terrain. However, swimming, running and circuit training are also good ways to develop your aerobic fitness and stamina.
You will be accommodated on a shared room basis whilst on the Geneva to Nice Mont Ventoux Route cycling holiday. Individuals travelling alone will be paired up with someone of the same gender.
