A support vehicle will carry energy bars, fresh water and energy drinks to help keep riders performance levels to their maximum. 

L'Etape du Tour 2024

The 32nd edition of L’Étape du Tour will be held on 07th July 2024 on the same route as the 20th stage of the Tour de France 2024, between Nice and the Col de la Couillole.

For the L’Etape du Tour 2024 we will be offering a 3-night package staying at a luxury hotel near the event from Friday to Monday. This will also include return airport transfers from Nice Airport, continental breakfast each morning, and a two-course dinner each evening.

 L’Etape du Tour 2024 will be a 138km route with more than 4,600 metres of ascent, including the climbs of the Col de Braus, Col de Turini, Col de la Colmiane and finally  the Col de la Couillole.

You will need to prepare rigorously for the 2024 edition of L’Étape du Tour, because it promises to be one of the most demanding of the 31 previous editions. 

Fully Supported Rides

All rides during the Classic Climbs of the French Alps trip will be fully supported by knowledgeable guides and a support vehicle.

The support vehicle will carry energy bars, fresh water and energy drinks to help keep your performance levels to their maximum. This vehicle will also carry a range of spare parts and tools in order to assist with any minor mechanical problems.

Base Itinerary

DAY 1 – Meet at Nice Airport, transfer to hotel, Assemble Bikes

DAY 2 – Short Ride & Race Registration

DAY 3 – L’Etape du Tour 2024 – 138.6km Nice – Col de la Couillole

DAY 4 – Departure, transfer to Nice Airport for a midday flight

The L’Etape du Tour 2024 promises to be a demanding route, so preparation will be very important you need to have a good level of fitness to complete the route within the time limits

Obviously, the best way to prepare is to get out on your bike and include some long rides in hilly terrain. However, swimming, running and circuit training are also good ways to develop your aerobic fitness and stamina.

You will be accommodated on a shared room basis whilst on the L’Etape du Tour 2024  Individuals travelling alone will be paired up with someone of the same gender. If there is no one of the same gender we will provide you with a single room however this will involve a single supplement charge.

If you would prefer a room to yourself then a single supplement charge will be added, please contact us for prices. Please note this option is only available subject to availability.

If you decide not to bring your own bike, we recommend using  “Bcyclet” for your bike hire. They provide a great selection of carbon bikes made by Scott. For your own comfort we recommend bring your own saddle and pedals. For pricing and availability please use the following link: Bcyclet

At Classic Cycling Tours the safety and well-being of our guests is of the upmost importances to us. Unfortunately due to the nature of cycling and the terrain you will be riding in accidents can occur. Therefore, it is mandatory that you have Personal Injury Insurance that covers you in the event of an accident whilst on a cycling holiday. If you do not have any cover we recommend using “Yellow Jersey” cycle protection.
